Louise Hunter is the Managing Director of the Democracy and Culture Foundation where she is in charge of its day-to-day running, and is also Project Lead for the Art for Tomorrow Talks. She is passionate about taking action to safeguard democracy and the freedoms we value the most.
Louise is also the Managing Director of Summerhouse Media, and has over 30 years’ international experience of developing and delivering world-class events. Her portfolio of work includes international summits, luxury, art and media events, and innovative education festivals. Her impressive list of clients include The New York Times (where she is currently Project Director for the Climate Hub), The Times, Wall Street Journal, The World Bank and The International Finance Corporation.
Previously, she spent 18 years at The Financial Times as Regional Director for Africa, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, and latterly as Director of Conferences.
Louise is also co-founder of Creative Inverclyde, a social enterprise conceived to encourage discussion, share ideas and foster collaboration, and is also co-founder and Producer of EduMod.
